Jon joined the Burdekin Board in August 2019. Jon brings a blend of not-for-profit and corporate business experience. Jon started his career in some large globally recognised businesses including Woolworths, Commbank and EY. With a breadth of business and leadership skills he jumped at the opportunity to move into the not-for-profit world, to make a difference where it is really needed. He is particularly passionate about businesses, like Burdekin, which help support young people. Jon is currently managing the social enterprise arm of Relationships Australia (NSW), including a new tech business that connects people with the mental health and wellbeing supports they need. Jon was also the CEO of batyr, a for purpose preventative mental health organisation which focusses on smashing the stigma surrounding mental health for young people. Jon grew up in Newport, and is keen to support the amazing work that Burdekin does for young people on the Northern Beaches.
